Can Windows 7 do nothing on laptop lid close and sleep after time?

I attempted to set Windows 7 to "Do Nothing" when we tighten my laptop lid though we additionally told it to nap after 5 minutes. It looks similar to windows is receiving a lid order over a nap order so a mechanism stays on. How can we have Windows 7 do zero when we tighten a lid though still nap (or hibernate) after thirty or 40 minutes?

I believe you cannot, but you request for it to do nothing when u close it..so, if u close it, it’ll do nothing..
    Just keep the lid open…

    Hello Anthony,

You can change your power settings to adjust when the lid of your laptop is closed: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-what-happens-when-you-close-your-laptop.
