How do I change to windows 7 without having to reinstall everything?

I wish to shift my os to windows 7 from vista, though we wish my form to be the same, with all the programs installed. Is there the approach to do this?

    Hi Dillan,

You are in luck! Since you are currently running Windows Vista, you have the option to do an in-place upgrade to Windows 7 meaning that your files, programs, and settings will stay intact through the upgrade process.

Also, since you are running Vista, you can purchase an upgrade version of Windows 7 which will save you a little money over the full retail version.

Here is a guide to help you step-by-step through the upgrade process – http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-vista-to-windows-7

Yes, when you order your windows 7 DVD, just order the upgrade version. That’s what I did, I mean mine was free, but it just installed windows 7 and all of the programs and stuff were still there.
