How do i get the free Windows 7 Upgrade after buying a new computer that runs vista?
I paid for the brand new mechanism form Tesco about the month ago, as well as right away i wish to get the Windows 7 Update that is free. we went to Tesco as well as asked them how to do it though they didn’t give me the great explanation. Anyone know how?

You need to register at the manufacturer’s website and they mail it to you.

Not every seller is taking part in this free upgrade scheme according to the Microsoft website as they (ie. the seller) have to pay or contribute.
Presumably Tesco are not taking part because packed with your computer would be a certificate with a licence code which you feed into the Microsoft site for the upgrade.
I bought a computer last week with this voucher enclosed and have now had confirmation from Microsoft that Windows 7 (on CD) is in the post at no cost to me.

You need to consult the manufacturer’s website for information on how to claim your Windows 7 free upgrade.

There’s no such thing, as far as I know.
The best I know is what I did, which was to pre-order (from Amazon) for the 22nd. October delivery. That way it was £65. After that you had to pay full whack which is £120, I think.
(I bought my new PC 6 mths ago. Had Vista on; big mistake; should have asked for XP. Will make do with W7 now)
