How do I get Windows 7 from my old laptop hard drive to a new solid state hard drive?

I do not have a windows 7 disc, since my laptop came with Windows 7 upon a tough drive.
What have been my options, what equipment do we need to accumulate or buy, as well as what is a process?

Best way would probably be with some hard drive cloning software. Try Clonezilla, it’s free.

Alternatively, create recovery discs from your computer. There would be a way to create recovery discs, just check the documentation that came with your computer.

i think the only thing is to buy or obtain a windows 7 cd and install the os on the new hard drive.

Why would you want to move it to a SSD drive they are still amazingly expensive and in about 5 years they might be half the cost you paid for it. Just my opinion
