It's nice to not have to go to the upper right corner all the time. The shake thing is minor, but it might be helpful for people who have desktop gadgets they want to check in on quickly. It's less significant without those. I don't know that they're making a "big deal" out of them. They're features. They're more useful for some. I'm really really happy I can click the bar at the top of a maximized window and drag it away briefly then drag it back and maximize it. That right upper corner before could be a pain. But I'm not doing cartwheels over a couple features like that. I am doing them over how smooth things function otherwise. Aero Snap is helpful, especially when maximizing and minimizing screens.
