Hi. Yes, you can have one or more operating systems on your computer. For that you have to have either two hard drives or one hard drive partitioned into two. Then you just simply have to install on the newly created partition or hard drive the operating system (in your case win7). And after that, on boot it will ask you which os you’d like to run.
When you boot the new os everything will be new, the setting, your desktop and etc. But on your old os everything will remain the same.

BTW, I don’t use RUN app anymore, search line at start menu is working as same as run app.
