Aehm yeah, a scroll bar on a touchscreen with 3 mm in width! great idea micrsoft! the whole startmenu is useless for touch input! how can you not see that?? All the entries there are way too small! it makes no sense at all! the filemmenue in outlook? omg… Not to mention the uselessness of outlook itself! been looking for a combined inbox for ages. .. no success. ..

In my point of view both are crap, useless XL bricks… Unless someone make a coat where they can fit they have absolutely no use for me…. They fit indeed to break in the head of someone I might not like, otherwise a small laptop wins at least a million of times…
There are many wireless internet service providers for laptops so I really don’t see the use of this…

*sigh* Archos 9 is enough in my opinion. And it is definately not as joyful experience as the ipad’s. (the resistive touchscreen technology that is found on the archos plays some role…)
The zooming is only slow because they are using the web browser’s Ctrl + (+) and Ctrl + (-) function. If they were to make a browser designed for a tablet, it will surely be as smooth as the iPad.
@Whitesoxcesarmexico with the right application, watching AVI videos is possible… With the Jailbreak, the multitasking works FULLY, and installing not approved apps by apple is possible always with Jailbreak, so i’m sorry but Microsoft is going to die… if you are able to use it rightly the ipad is a powerful tablet, the best, and microsoft is always the copy of what apple produces.
i have the ipad. it is very useful for learning, reading etc. still i don’t like apple. i will be happy, when i am offered an alternative with usb etc. this is not an altanative, this is crap!

iPad is better. Tablet Computers running Windows 7 or Mac OS X are slower. This is because the technology for Tablet Computers to handle those OS’s is not ready. Not yet. But there will be a day when running those OS’s make the Tablet better, not worse. That’s why Apple didn’t install Mac OS X on the iPad even though they called it a cross between the iPhone and Mac.

rubbish, win7 or any windows on mobile device that will be using capacitive touch screen (via fingers etc.) just DOESN’T work. It’s pathetic experience. The ipad is joy to navigate.

4.Even windows media player can play avi,amv,mkv,flv etc. FILES,LOL
5.What if you download a movie from the net and want to watch on tv, or wanna transfer some important files to pen drive, or wanna get some songs on pen drive for your car player. LOL, Ipad cant do this!!, Its lame as compared to tablets,pcs.laptop!

Ipad disadvantages-
1.No proper multitasking.
2.No webcam.
3.Can only install apps from apple store whereas in tablet we have the whole internet to explore.
4.Cant play avi files, we have to convert all the videos to crappy .mp4 format.
(lol, even my mobile -omnia hd-can play avi format, LOL)
5.No usbs -nothing, cant connect things like your mobile and pendrive and other stuff.
6.Gets very hot while operating.

@Whitesoxcesarmexico as an OS then windows 7 is better…but this is comparing how well it can do the same things…iPad clearly can manage the same things much better…but granted with windows 7 you can do much much more…problem is the slate is a portable PC…iPad isnt…its more of a perosnal media centre that can do some computer stuff…also in this vid it looks like the slate would work best on its side

iPad is better. Tablet Computers running Windows 7 or Mac OS X are slower. This is because the technology for Tablet Computers to handle those OS’s is not ready. Not yet. But there will be a day when running those OS’s make the Tablet better, not worse. That’s why Apple didn’t install Mac OS X on the iPad even though they called it a cross between the iPhone and Mac.
