@bluefisch200 Yes, Microsoft does have more developers, but they are Windows PC developers, there aren’t that many developers for the Windows Phone. (I’m one of them). End users do care about these limitations, there is no Multi-tasking, Flash, nor HTML 5, what does it have?
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
My main concern is the cost… Have they announced anything?
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
im getting this because i need a new phone and it has xbox live so if you are a xbox live user get this just came back fron gamescom and its awesome
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
if you could party chat wit people on ur friends list that alone would make the phone worth it.

@CompWin7Helper not just joined the war but joined FTW!!!
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
wow so basically Microsoft just joined the handheld wars 0_0

@bluefisch200 o.0 Really? I think Cnet had an article saying Hummingbird>Snapdragon>OMAP. However, they also said Snapdragon handles android better. But w.e. IDK if its just your phone or the whole Omnia seriese, but idk why android is slow for you. It seems to run really fast on my bros Evo 4G and my MyTouch Slide which has a 600MHz processor.
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@rahmanroni Not really, the Hummingbird is the fastest mobile processer right now and the Snapdragon the slowest (Hummingbird>OMAP>Snapdragon) and that is proofed with many benchmarks…the HTC desire has the same specifications as the Evo has and it scores 33% slower in Quadrant…
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@bluefisch200 Not really. Its just a 1GHz hummingbird processor. The snapdragon processor handles android a lot better. So in other words no, youre better off with Evo 4G.
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@rahmanroni The i9000 is the fastest smartphone that money can buy
How ever, even my previous Android devices (G1, Hero, Legend and for a short time a Desire for testing) had the same problems (and the SGS had fixed many of the lags on that i had with these devices but Android has a CPU rendered UI and does not use the GPU like the iOS does)…
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@bluefisch200 No wonder. My bro had that, it was horrible. He now has a evo 4g.
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@rahmanroni Samsung SGS i9000 with ext2 speed hack ,-) just go to the pocketnow web page…this is not smooth…
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@bluefisch200 What phone you on. I got a My Touch 3g slide, and no lag what so ever. Maybe you got 1 of the older, less powerful Android Phones.
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@Superharas But it is not hard to switch from .NET for Windows to Silverlight…99% of the important stuff is the same. And for Multitasking and Flash, they will come later (but hey, the iPhone did pretty well without them)…for me Windows Phone 7 the perfect mix between iPhone and Android…something between, with a free choice of the hardware but with only 1 way to update your OS (shame on you Google) and with a UI that does not have lags (i am an Android user and that can be annoying)…
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@Superharas End users do not care about this limitations (no, these are not nerds) and they have more developers out there then Android & iOS have…
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
I really like the U/I, it’s easy to adopt, it’s slick.
But, I think Microsoft is a little to late. It’s not going to beat Android or Apple.
This phone is purely for people do not a lot about Mobile Phones.
There are too many limitations, for both Developers and the End User.
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
hmmm great, but some of the games displayed here already exist (flight commander, etc) and are one year old or so. Also some 3d games are lagging, is openGL es plugin well implemented?? And if, like it seems, windows phone 7 will break the compatibility with most of WinMo 6.5 third party apps and games (emulators!!), I fear this Xbox live feature won’t be enough…….Wait and see!
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@asaholey LMAO!
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
BOTSSSSS
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
@RwKhuti Iphone is just for gays.
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
This is awesome,it just makes more more excited about windows phone 7,this is completely new and the iomilo example was great!
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
….they would be foolish, because it just MAKES SENSE. If you think they are stealing ideas, think to yourself, what could be done differently that would be better than a phone with apps, a music player, and phone capabilities with WiFi? Ding Ding Ding….that’s what a phone has become, now.
So please, get over this whole, “It’s an iPhone.” crap. It’s a modern phone, and the OS is done quite differently than the iOS, anyways, so…please, just get over it. Thank you.
Much love,
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
Not to start an argument, but I’m really tired of everyone saying, “It’s an iPhone.” Not because I’m a Windows fanboy or anything, but just because something has applications that you can download, a music player, and phone capabilities does not make it an iPhone.
This is just the way phones are going, now. No matter what, anything modern on a phone now will be “another iPhone”…just because the features are modern. If any phone company that came out with a phone DIDN’T follow this trend…
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
it looks pretty cool! wht games will be better here than the iphone, it has xbox live! and we lal know how good xbox live is! and u can play these games bck at ur console as well! n if ur buddies r playing these games on their xbox u can play with them using windows phone 7
August 20th, 2010 at 4:52 am
